Macau

We are force to go out of China every 3 months.  Our project team decided to go to Macau – even though it is still considered part of China, somehow it is considered out of China.  Hmmm… does it make sense?  Macau, just like Hong Kong is Special Administration Region of the People’s Republic of China since 1999.  So if you go out of China and go to Macau, it is considered as if you exited China.

Macau is actually interesting.  It is a mixed between Portuguese and Chinese.  There are some areas that are totally Portuguese…  I have not been to Portugal but I can say it is not Chinese 🙂

Macau is well known for its casinos.  It is considered as Las Vegas’ casino destination rival.  I am not into casino but it was a fun experience to at least visit.  We visited the famous Grand Lisboa and the huge and crazy ‘The Venetian Casino’.  I have been to Venice and I can say that The Venetian is pretty much the same – at least the feeling.  We even tried the Gondola 🙂
