Kyoto, Japan

I have been planning to go to Japan since I started to travel.  Several years ago, I was supposed to have a project in Japan but I decided not to go and migrated to Toronto instead.  I am a big fan of Japanese food and as always it is nice to try the authentic one.

I was told that if it is your first time to go to Japan, Kyoto is one of the nicest place to visit.  I decided to go to Kyoto instead of the famous Tokyo.  I am more interested to see the traditional Kyoto and maybe go to Tokyo later.   I was not dissapointed.  Kyoto has a lot of temples and shrines to visit.  Being in China for awhile I was anticipating that Kyoto will be the same or worse as far as communication is concerned.  But I was mistaken.  It was so easy to get around.  The buses are going to the famous places to visit.  Getting a day pass is recommended because it is cheaper and convenient.

The top places to visit are: Kinkakuji (Golden Pavillion), Kiyumizu Temple, Ginkakuji (Silver Pavillion), Imperial Palace, Fushimiri Temple and a lot more….  I do not have a lot of time but it was a good start.

On the way out, I stopped over at Osaka to see the city.

And of course, I was able to try the authentic sushi and sashimi.  It was great!
