Beautiful Prague

The rumor is true… Prague is beautiful.  I have been hearing about Prague from all my European collegues.  Prague is one of the top 5 cities that they recommended to visit while in Europe.  And its true… it’s pretty.

I went to Prague in one beautiful weekend while I was assigned in Cologne, Germany.  It was a quick 1 1/2 hour flight from Cologne to Prague.  Since it was a short trip I went on a guided tour.  It is always nice to do this if you do not have enough time and it is also nice to know some of the history behind the places.  Prague is part of the old Czechoslovakia – I totally remember this name since it is one of the difficult words to spell 🙂  Prague now belongs to Czech Republic and Slovak Republic is the other half.

There are so many nice places to visit such as the Charles Bridge (Karlúv Most), Astronomical Clock, the Prague Castle and many others…. It was the best time to be there as the season just changed from summer to autumn.

Prague Castle – where the Czech kings, Holy Roman Emperors and Presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have had their offices. It is one of the biggest castles in the world
